What this site stores in your browser, what it does not store, and how to change your mind.
The site measures its traffic with a tool hosted by us. This measurement does not need consent, under conditions we meet and that you can read below. You can refuse it at any time, and your refusal is kept as long as your browser keeps this choice. The information shown on your first visit does not come back for a year. You can change your choice at any time.
| Name | Role | When | How long | Why it is allowed |
|---|---|---|---|---|
am-consent | Your choice about audience measurement. | When you click Refuse or Okay in the card, or Save in your choices. | A refusal is kept until you clear it. An Okay is kept for a year. | Necessary: it makes your refusal respected and avoids asking you again. |
am-theme | Your light or dark theme. | When you click the theme button. Never before. | Until you clear it. | Necessary: it is a choice you make. |
am-seed | The seed of the graphic background. | When you click Regenerate. Never before. | Until you close the tab. | Necessary: it is a choice you make. |
umami.disabled | A flag that stops audience measurement. | When you refuse audience measurement. | Until you turn it back on, or clear it. | Necessary: it makes your refusal respected. |
espace_session | A cookie that keeps you signed in. Only in the space, at amorce.dev/espace. | When you sign in. | Until you sign out, or 90 days without a visit. | Essential: without it there is no sign in. Limited to the amorce.dev domain, sent only over HTTPS. |
| Message drafts | The message you are writing in the space. Stored in your browser (localStorage). | While you write. | Until it is sent, or until you clear it. | Necessary: it saves you from losing your text. |
The tool is called umami. It is installed on our own server in Falkenstein, Germany: no third party receives this data. It sets no cookie and writes nothing in your browser.
What is sent when the measurement is on: the page you see, the name of the site you came from (its domain name only, not the full address), the page title, your language and your screen size, rounded to the nearest hundred pixels. The server infers your browser, your system, your country, your region and your city from your IP address, which it does not keep. We do not measure your clicks, what you type or your mouse movements.
To avoid counting the same visit twice, the tool computes a code from your IP address and your browser, mixed with a secret specific to this site that changes every month. The code does not let anyone recover the IP address or the browser, it does not link you from one month to the next, and it does not follow you from one site to another.
This data is kept 25 months at most. If your browser sends the Do Not Track signal or the Global Privacy Control signal, the measurement does not start.
The CNIL exempts from consent audience measurement that stays strictly limited to the needs of the site and meets precise conditions. Here is how we meet them.
- It only serves to know which pages of the site are read, for Amorce alone.
- It builds no profile: the code that counts a visit changes every month and follows no one from one month to the next or from one site to another.
- It is not combined with any other Amorce file, and no third party receives the data.
- It keeps no IP address, no cookie and nothing readable on your device.
- You are informed here and by the card on your first visit, and you can refuse it at any time.
We keep no trace of your choice on our servers: it only exists in your browser. Since this measurement does not ask for consent, we have nothing to prove.
No advertising, no social network, no video or map from a third party service, no font loaded from a third party service. The only request to another service is the postal code lookup in the questionnaire, described on the Privacy page.
